Interesting view Jack, the way the petals are folded and the angle of shooting is rather reminiscent of an orchid.

Maybe my monitor is "off,' but this seems pretty soft in focus to me. It's close, but looks like it is out of focus off the center point.

The actual flower centre appears sharply focused to me. The petal behind is a little soft but the only way to alter that is by stacking several shots.
I don't find it is a problem.
