    monocular advice

hi guys just wondered if anyone could recommend a cheap monocular to take out with my camera .
hopefully to use for finding potential shots.
i know you can buy expensive ones but i am only after a cheap one for now ,then if it proves worthwhile i may invest in a better model.
i only want to spend about £50.00
i have seen loads on ebay from £9.99 upto several hundreds,i just dont know much about the specifications .

ps i know a lot of you probably use binoculors, but i dont want them swinging round my neck,so would rather go with a monocular that can be put in a pocket.
plus jack bauer in 24 looks cool using his.

    many thanks glenn
as an example would these be okhttp://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VK-SWD-8x42-Waterproof-Monocular-High-Quality-BAK4-Gift-You-Sale-now-/260950020693?pt=UK_Photography_Binoculars_Monocula rs&hash=item3cc1d55255

I have used a monocular but, prefer to use a small pair of binoculars. You can get quite small binocs which are not much heavier than a monocular and which are also quite inexpensive. I have a pair of small Bushnell Binoculars very much like these. They fit easily in the pocket of my photo vest.
