    The Letterbox

My wife and I went for a drive in the country today and came across this country letterbox. I think the image captures a bit of rustic charm. What do you think ?

    Now, THAT'S a find Dave
Never seen anything similar before. Now I think I woulkd like, to see the builder in the photo, standing proud nearby.
Excellent capture, crystal clear as always.

    Now, that is different!

Beautiful countryside captured with lovely clarity. I can smell the fresh air.

    Thanks Eugen and Donald

Country people can certainly be creative can't they. As you can see, it was a lovely day today - a welcome change from all the rain we've had lately. The mountain in the background is Mt Barney, part of the so-called scenic rim of SE Qld.

    Hi Dave,
    Great subject matter.
What if you sttod further to the camera right, back a bit and zoomed in. Create a little more space between the carraige and the hill (being further back, the relative sizes of the moutain and carriage would match a bit better creating more balance). So carriage would be front and left, the mountain back and right. I feel that there is too much weight to the mid right if that makes sense.
Great sky of course (did I need to say that?), so if you can get back there, bring the sky with you.
Of course, if I could take such a shot as this, I would be happy.

    Hi Graham

Thaks for the comments. I do see where you are coming from with the composition suggestion. I only took one shot here but in hindsight I probably should have tried a few angles. Maybe next time !

I really like it Dave. I'd be inclined to clone out the bit of path in the bottom left of the frame though, I find it a bit distracting. Other than that, and Graham's comments, I think you've done a great job! :-)

Thanks Tommy, I'll attend to that cloning in the near future. I think it is worth doing. I'll get rid of that little light green thing on the mid left hand side as well.
