Sounds like parts of the country here where folks just dump old vehicles in fields etc., instead of paying to have them disposed of properly. Not very environmentally friendly, but they do make for wonderful photographic subjects.
I do like how the light is working on the body work in the second image. And that very tight composition works very well, I think.

I am not quite satisfied with some of my B&W and have started to play with it some. I appreciate any and all comments and crits. These are a result of playing further with the two above. Viewing in the lightboxs is a must.

It would seem that you killed the mid tones. What was your work flow to get the last two edits? I would try leveling them out, or perhaps play with curves, perhaps a mild gradient to tone down the whites? I like the curves of the first image, the second I have to disagree with Donald I think its too tight of a crop. IMHO
