    Panasonic fz150 myth

ARE WE NUTS? IF THE PANASONIC FZ150 IS AS GOOD AS ADVERTISED, THEN WE'RE NUTS TO SPEND MORE THAN $400.00 FOR A CAMERA. I JUMPED ON THIS ROLLER COASTER CALLED: FINDING THE PERFECT ENTRY TO MID-LEVEL DSLR CAMERA. I'VE LOOKED AT THE NIKON D5100, THE CANON T3i, THE PANASONIC G2 OR G3, THE SONY SLT a55 and a65, The Nikon D7000, The [B]Canon 60D, Panasonic GH2. But, HOW GOOD IS GOOD? WHO NEEDS THESE CAMERAS IF THE PANASONIC FZ150 IS AS GOOD AS ADVERTISED? DP REVIEW RATES THE FZ150 AS A VERY GOOD CAMERA. WHY SHOULDN'T I ? I THINK THAT THE MANUFACTURERS OF CAMERAS DANCE US AROUND WITH TECHNOLOGY. REMEMBER THE GOOD OLD DAYS WHEN CAMERAS WERE ALWAYS FULL MANUAL OPERATION? WHAT IS YOUR OPINION OF THE FZ150 ?

Why the overdose of capitals? Some consider that shouting...
(not to mention that it gets hard to read...)

Charlie, at the end of the day it is all about what are you going to do with the camera? I looked at all the camera you had in your line up. If I wanted something above my GF2 I would get the Nikon D7000. The best part about that would be the amount of lenses offered, allowing me to take Macro photos, to telephotos. And in the a few years I could get a D800 body and not have to invest in more lenses. Just my 2cents.

    Thanks
    Ryo

I do consider it that way Remco because I had the same reply for him to one of his early posts.

When I was working at a non-profit agency and responsible for assisting persons with disabilities to enter or reenter the competetive workforce, I had a guy show me his resume all done in CAPS. When I asked him about it, he said, "You mean that it's important to hit the shift key all the time?" I answered, "Not really; only if you want to get a job!"

Note to the OP, "Big Wrench":
You need to be aware that it is considered very poor manners to type in caps on a web forum. As has been pointed out a few times already in this and indeed your other threads, by other members, this equates to shouting at people and is something that's just not done. Please take note of this advice and show your respect for the other members around the forum who are prepared to help you, by adopting the conventional typing practice of standard lower-case text. Would that be ok? We're here to help but nobody likes being shouted at.
    Thanks.
