    CMYK to RGB

I need a converter from CMYK to RGB for some thousands images.

I could do it in CS4 but it takes too long. Any tips please ?

I have been googling but I would like a small help from you instead, please

    Thank you.

    Have a guess :)

    Re: CMYK to RGB

Any reason you can't batch convert using CS4 and just let it do it's own thing overnight?

No, in fact there is no reason for that procedure...
    Indeed.
I tried to open the images in CS4 and it needs the profile to be assumed.
It means that the program each time opens a file needs an operator. And this is not convenient.

In fact I could open the images and make an Action on them overnight but this way ...

    Thank you Colin

I think I have done it. Well, at least five of them to begin with.
I can see the images in Bridge. OK. Then I have selected the ones I wanted.
Under Tools there is Photoshop at the bottom. Inside there is Image Processor.

    Hi Antonio,

When you get a chance, would it be possible to explain what this is for? I mean in general, why would you change the color profile and why it was in CMYK in the first place?

    Thanks!

    Antonio,

Not used it for some years, but ImageMagick can do just about everything you could possibly want, and has a commandline interface. See here for CYMK to RGB.

Use the mogrify command to work on a whole folder full of images.

Shout if you need some help.

    Best,
    Graham

The day I was at my son's, another young man asked me if I knew how to change the profile in some photos he had.
They were to be placed somewhere, kind of catalog or so, whatever ...
I said may be Bridge would do it and we opened the program on my son's Mac.
But I couldn't do it at very moment. I had to study, try and I rather do it alone.

I said I would ask my friends from UK - referring cambridgeincolour.com/forum - that they would help me.

When I got home I posted this thread but I was working on the problem at the same time. Just trying. Until... bingo.
I called him and described the process on the phone.

I really don't know what is it for. I mean exactly what it is for.
I think he is aware that the color conversion may be dangerous in terms of quality ...
Anyway he has a link to this thread !

    Thank you Ali
