Virtually every novice camera request on here seems to contain the line buy a filter.....
I'm not questioning that per se BUT what do we think of this article http://bythom.com/filters.htm look at #19 and #20
how many people buy an expensive camera/lens combo and then stick a cheap bit of glass over it.......

Personally I'm happy with attaching my bit of welders glass with a couple of elastic bands but then I am a bit of a cheapskate
