C&C welcome. I like the simplicity and contrast. Does anyone else like this sort of thing?

Very, very, and I mean very nice. The texture of the wooden shed boards, and the cover of the tract very love it.

I love the lines. Great depth in the detail and texture of the wood.

I do like the simplicity and contrast. I think my only comment is that as I scan across your photo, the arch tends to lead me out of the frame rather than into it.

    Thanks everyone for the feedback

Malcom, I do believe you are right. I've tried a horizontal flip. Does this work better? It does not seem to lead the eye out so much on the left side does it???? not sure, let me know what you think. I also notice upon closer inspection that there is a slight lean, but I can't fix that without messing up the frame and going back into Elements, so that stays as is for now

Oh, yes - here is the flipped version

Kathy, the arch is an aluminum driving shed. I sorta kinda lost the detail in the white because I was trying to emphasize the shapes. If you look very closely you will see a bit of the detail of the arches. It's a semi circular structure.

Don't mind at all Ron, in fact if anyone else wants to post similar shots in this thread please feel free to do so. I see shapes that I really like sometimes, but to get them into a photgraph is another story. This can be a learning/teaching thread.

I like your shot Ron, but my first reaction was that I'd like to change the colour of the sky. Then the shot would become more abstract and harder to figure out what the oranges really are. With the blue sky I know they must be roofs but a different colour leaves it open to my imagination.

Yep - I think that works much better now. The arch now brings you straight to the shed. Although I did notice the lean as well - it seems more pronounced in this version, doesn't it?
