Canon has come out with a new flagship camera, the 1Dx, which has some impressive bells and whistles and at almost seven thousand U.S. dollars is aimed at the working pofessional or the independently rich amatuer.
However while aimed at those targeted users, Canon still retains the print from camera capability. Honestly, has any professional or advanced amatuer out there ever used print from camera?

I have a compatible printer but have never used the feature. One possible use of this feature would be to print a proof sheet.

The current Digic chips have the capability so why not? Someone will use it, it doesn't cost any extra to have it and more features are always better than less if you are trying to make money by selling a camera.
