In short: I was at work, doing a few resizes for graphics that had to go on the web, when one of my co workers showed me her laptop, bragging that she had a pre-release copy of CS6.
I didn't believe her-but she opened it up with a splash screen saying "Superstition - Pre-release" Version 13
She didn't tell me where she got it, but I can't find anything about CS6 on the Adobe website.
Does anyone have ANY idea about a coming pre-release?

A Beta version in out. Google "Photoshop CS6 beta" and you should get some info on some possible changes.
This article should provide so info. I've seen a video on the de-bluring stuff and it is remarkable.

I did a Google search also and found the same article you mentioned, plus links to file sharing sites where it can be downloaded, including an activation key, valid for 1 year. (Probably not legal - I'm staying FAR away from those!)
Didn't find anything at all on the Adobe site re: beta testing.
Would love to get my hands on it.....legally!

In future, Adobe will allow the update price only for the immediately preceding version (i.e you will be able to upgrade CS5 to CS6, but not CS3 to CS6 as under the previous rules). CS6 would need a very great deal more than a Lightroom-style dark background to persuade me to upgrade. Alas, I've probably bought my last Photoshop upgrade.
