That is a nice image, Deepak. And thanks for starting a thread on this subject.
I beg to differ.
Great photos are created not just taken, like all great paintings and sculptures. Lesser mortals like me ( I am not including any of you in this category, believe me ) are just camera clickers. Random chance plays and we think we took a good photo (fun, didn't you say?) Then we go on to brag about that image putting meaning where there is no obvious one. The title we write and the explanations we give are making the picture. In many cases such explanations are not needed simply because others had already made them to similar or identical images. They already exist in our psyche. A master's image doesnt need an explanation. He/She asks us to recreate it in our mind and create our own meaning. The camera is only a tool for them, just like a chisel or a brush. For me it is a sophisticated machine with which I take photos. That is all. But I tend to attribute many things.
I am sorry I have to repeat a question which I had posted in an earlier thread.
Since when did a paint brush start painting? Substitute with camera, if you please.
