A walk down VA beach
In Virginia for a few weeks for work, decided to take the camera out =]

Re: A walk down VA beach
I like the striking van Gogh color of the sandy beach, and how it contrasts with "the deep blue sea."
One suggestion: The jet trails are distracting. Want to try and remove them? I think it would help.

Before doing anything else, I would make the water-level level, the sea horizon horizontal, at right angles to the vertical, parallel to the frame's top and bottom!

Re: A walk down VA beach
Hi Jeff, if your intention (based on the title) is to focus on the footsteps, try a croping that reduces the sky to about half of what is there. This would put the horizon at the top 1/3 level, make the image more panoramic, and tell the 'beach walk' story all at the same time.

Much better already Jeff,
I agree with Frank's suggestion and would add, if you know how*, some Local Contrast Enhancement, but just on the beach for the footsteps, if they are the main focus.
* I'll expand later if not, just ask
