    Thanks Chris.
I am a long way off some of the fantastic shots I see on here Chris, but I when I do get the chance to get out I am finding improvements, I am loving the Sigma 150-500mm lens and I am fortunate to have Brandon Marsh a couple of miles away.
I am very jealous of your shots from the Lake District too Chris, but I will be there the first week in November, can't wait.

This lens makes a tri-pod virtually compulsory doesn't it? Or maybe just very strong steady arms.

It has image stabilization Chris, but I have just bought a Manfrotto Monopod and head and it saved me a few quid on buying the training weights.
To be honest, even though the lens weighs 4 pounds, it does not seem that much of a burden to me!
