Appears to be just like one to me..a very fine specimen of the
"Buckus Whitetailus" family of Jackolopes..
If you've got a longbow in your hand, now would be the perfect time
for a "Texas Heart Shot"...

Just looked up and read the story of the Jackalope. Hadn't heard about it before. And based on that reading then, yes, this definitely looks like one.
Not sure if it's any relation of the Haggis, whose numbers are dwindling.
