When you have nothing else to shoot and your camera in hand.

A couple of quirky shots from teh trip.

The first is sitting around the camp fire.

When you have nothing else to shoot and your camera in hand.

The second - waiting for the kettle to boil at lunch while on stopped on a salt pan.

When you have nothing else to shoot and your camera in hand.

Hi Peter, I really like the way you captured the flames in the first one.

Thanks Frank, I do like the story a camp fire scene tells.

That kettle does a fair job at wide angle view of everythign going on, right down to including a self portrait.

It also makes me look like I couldn't stop a pig in a passage with those bandy legs. Thanks Steaphany.

Love the kettle shot, the unexpected shot is a magnet for me!

Thanks jwarren and welcome to CiC. I have a warped vision on occasions.

By the way we tend to use first names here so if you have a look at your profile there is room to include your Real Name, which will show up on the posting details at left. Thanks for viewing.

Both good shots in their own way.

Peter I like both shots but I like #2 better. The reflection would make you look like a umpa lumpa ( willie wanka) if you were orange.

A watched kettle never boils; specially when the gas isn't on.

There is a definite look-a-like there Sam. The kettle is not a flattering mirror but some would say it actually does portray me well.

Let me tell Steve the sun was so hot we didn't need gas.

    Thanks for viewing guys.
