    HI James,

Nice placement of the deer in the image whereby it is looking back into the more open side of the frame and tells a story of caution as he moves. It looks like the deer was running/moving and maybe a slightly faster shutter speed was required to freeze the action. I notice that the ground under the deer is also a little soft so maybe you were panning as he moved.

Peter you are absolutely right. He was running, I was panning I panicked and whistled, he slowed and looked back giving me a favourable pose. Heres him at speed.Deer for C&C

It is great fun trying to get animals in action. I just love it. Well done and don't ever lose the joy of this type of photography.

Hi James, were these shot close to home? It looks like you may have had to spend a fair bit of time stalking to get this close!

Nice shot James. Always a challenge once they know you are there. Good reflexes to catch a brief stop and look.

I agree with what everyone has said. ONlyt question I'd have is - Do you really, really want your name across the image like that? If it's to try and protect it from being used, remember, it would take about 30 seconds for someone to clone it out. And it does rather take attention away from an otherwise super image.

Thanks for feedback everyone. Frank I work construction,so I travel alot in a 100mile radius(sometimes more) I kept seeing deer in far corner of field. So I easily set up ambush point, sat and waited ,rewarded with this one in 45 minutes. I dont think I have the skill to stalk him. He spotted me fast (thus the run).
Donald I dont use the name to protect the image, I merely copy and reduce Images that I print out on 5x7 to show the guys at work,Family and friends. I usually try to make the name blend better, I guess I could save jpeg before the name for web viewing, I am very new to all this and am trying to reduce space used on comp. I do realize this is not the first image I have marred with my name mostly for vanities sake.
