Hello you all.
This is a sunset on Moore Park Beach, Queensland, Australia.
Because the orientation of the beach I only can take sunsets in June when the sun is close to the north.
To be able to have an interesting FG also I need to take the shot during low tide. The weather condition is very important to have a nice sky.
As a result I have about 7 days in the year to take this type of shots.
Nikon D300s, Tokina 12-24 f/4, manffrotto tripod and ballhead.

Focal Length: 12.0mm Aperture: f/7.1 SS(1/50)
ISO equiv: 400 Exposure: aperture priority (semi-auto)

I had an idea that Moore Park beach was just north of Mackay ?

Moore Park Beach is about 25Km north of Bundaberg just south of the Kolan River.

Ah OK - I'd heard of it but I was a little way out with it's location (probably about 600 Km !)

A lovely shot Arthur, well worth all the planning and effort. Lovely sky and the WA lens has certainly produced a unique effect in the clouds, quite a WOW shot in my books!

Here is another one where I composed it trying to complement the diagonal lines in the sky with the lines in the wave and the trees in the shore line.
