    Moonrise Shot

    Did two, both shot within 15 minutes of each other, the first shot just as the sun dropped below the horizon. Not as much detail in the moon, but both were shot with a 35mm lens. Sometimes, I forget how nice this lens is.

    FWIW, I really like them both Chris. The first one seems a bit "busy", but it all works together to direct my eyes to the Moon. The Moon's reflection off the water was a great capture in #2..

    Hmm, I'm afraid that neither of these capture my attention Chris but I do think #1 would be quite nice without the moon!

    Hi Chris,

    #1 looks like daylight (even if it wasn't) and therefore it looks black clipped and over saturated.
    I think the options are;
    make it less clipped, so it stands as daylight, or
    make it far less saturated, so it looks like twilight (when the eyes do not see much colour)
    The central placement of moon doesn't appeal to me either I'm afraid.

    #2 I like much better, although the foreground sand is a different colour (a bit more magenta) than the distant sand 'across the way', which makes it look slightly unnatural to me. I'd clone out, or dull down, the bright stone at left frame edge too.

    HTH,
