    Seaside Affair

At a great photo trip to the sea I did quite recently I did a series of Long Exposure shots. I really love long exposure shots and the sea is such a elegant subject for it.
I'm really happy with the way the shots turned out. I'm very happy with all the enthusiast comments I got from other CiC members on Flickr.

Al of the below photographs were done with a Canon 400d with a Canon 17-40mm f/4.0 L USM lens. I used a Circular polarizer and a 10 stops ND filter to get the exposure effects. In post-processing I used ACR for minor exposure corrections, Silver Efex Pro 2 for BW conversion and Photoshop CS5 for final processing.

This Bridge is called the "Zeeland Brug", named after a province in The Netherlands called Zeeland. Because it's mostly surrounded by sea it has quite a history fighting the sea. Also the "Deltawerken" are built there. It's a structure that can completely close the inner lands from any sea floud. Unfortunately I couldn't get a proper photograph from it.

Wow.. Those are gorgeous shots, Jeroen.

I like the movement of clouds in the first image. It really adds to the drama.
And I like #3 for its bold angle.

I commented on these on Flickr and I will not tire of saying it again...a brilliant set and particularly the third image. We could probably give you a hundred variants on what we believe should be dodged or burnt but none of that detracts from the impact of these.

    Thanks guys,

I'm glad you like the 3d one. I wasn't too sure about the angle when editing.

#3 has a fantastic feeling of hi-speed about it - magic!

I saw this, before, but was too shy to say what I think, and, now, I could've been the first one to have said it! JK! They're all out of the ordinary - for me, anyway. but, #3! It gives me the feeling of a roller coaster (collywobbles? Is that the right word to use???) Anyway, it has so much movement and, obviously, part of that is because of that wonderful angle. Rob said "hi-speed" - great word!

Here's another shot I did on the same day I did the shots from the first post.
Since then I've been wondering if this one fits in the series.
What do you think? Does it match with the rest. Is it good enough?
