    You're right. I totally missed the four on the hands of the fingers of the hand on the pinkie... finger... I think maybe.

    Thanks for the interest in this image.
    The shadow effect is surprisingly simple to do.

    Select the hand and remove the background to transparent
    Copy to a new layer
    Goto new layer
    Select the hand and feather the edge to suit
    Make silhouette of the selection Black on transparent
    The trick is to rotate the shadow (anti-clockwise in this case) - this makes it appear 3D.
    Stick the layer behind the hand
    Make a final background colour layer - any colour you like.
    Reduce the opacity of the "shadow" layer until it looks real

    Hope that all makes sense!
