    Lucky wotsit

Did you need ear plugs too?

I see from the focal lengths (109 - 200mm) you were indeed quite close.

I have to say, when someone says "Typhoon" I don't yet associate to these, but the old prop version
Showing my age, better shut up

    Cheers,

But not as loud as if you'd been at the other end of the runway and if they lit the 'burner

As you live so near,Paul a day there should produce some great shots. Most,if not all the RAF/USAF airbases are near you - I'm envious

as a bit of a plane spotter i know i'm in a good area.i grew up with the sound of A10's,F15's etci have mates on RAF Coningsby so i get to go on there for family day shows.i don't normally put plane images on normal photography forums as it bores most usersbut i had to share theses

I'm sure people wouldn't be bored, they make great photos. I'd like to visit Lakenheath and Mildenhall-off to Rutland Water Sunday to Tuesday before the Ospreys leave for Senegal but it's not quite near enough to those bases so I'll have to make a separate trip.

    Cheers,
When I first saw the post title I thought we were going to see pictures of hurricanes (a typhoon is what they call a hurricane in East Asia).

Turns out to be planes lol.

    Nice shots though.
