Amen to that, George. I've taken relatives there when the view was fantastic when we left but completely fogged & clouded over in the 2 1/2 hours it took to get the Paradise Visitor Center. Was this taken from the Nisqually overlook? This is a beautiful image & I'm wondering what filter - if any - was on your camera? Cheers.
Congratulations on the beautiful image George!
I agree with Lon; finding the top of Mt. Rainer that clear is a rarity, indeed. You definitely picked
the right day to drive up the mountain.

Thanks for viewing Lon and Mike. It was the 18-105 kit lens with polarizing filter. I live in New Jersey, so didn't have a tripod.
Heh. No, Jersey is on the east coast and Rainier is 2000+ miles away on the west coast. I didn't want the hassle of trying to get a tripod through airport security. Even though the official policy may allow something as carry-on, you can always encounter an idiot who makes his/her own policy.
Thanks for viewing!
