    Last Nights Moon

Had very good skies last night, so I had another go at capturing the Moon:

    Seconds before Moonrise:

    Last Nights Moon
    Nikon D90, VR 70-300mm F/4.5-5.6G, 122mm, F/6.3, 30s, 0EV, Manual, ISO 320

    Within minutes:

    Last Nights Moon
    1/125s, f/11.0, 300.0mm, ISO 200

Comments and criticisms are always appreciated.

    They're getting better and better

Do you think there is room for a tad more sharpening and perhaps some added contrast?

    Hi Tommy,

I added more sharpening and slightly increased contrast. I believe it did bring out the highlights a bit better.

    Whattayathink?

Thanks for the suggestion Willie. Only took a minute to change it and upload to PBase:

    Last Nights Moon

Does make it appear a bit more like a cold, dead rock that's been beat to death by asteroids and now spends it's days orbiting the Earth.

    Thank you Willie!

Just noticed that I misidentified a couple of craters in the image I posted a couple days back. In this one, however, Copernicus is very visible at the 3 O'clock position, and the two prominent ones at the top are Aristoteles and Eudoxus. (accuracy counts......)
