    Sunset by the pool

Another sunset I dug out of our honeymoon snaps. This is at a place called the Gayana Eco Resort on a small island off Kota Kinabalu in northern Sabah, Borneo. Hope you like...

    Thanks

Willie or Jiro is fine by me.

Loved the perspective and smart use of leading lines, Tommy. For me, I would probably dodge the nipa hut just a bit to make it a bit brighter than the rest of the image. Not much, but just enough to make a difference so the eyes would focus on it more. Man, I bet you did enjoy bringing along the camera during your honeymoon, don't you?

A quick edit if you don't mind, Tommy.

I love it - the colours, the perspective, the leading lines.....

And, the location looks idyllic. It reminds me of how much I need a holiday

Yeah... I like it... that's a really good spot. It improves the picture no-end!

Thanks Willie And yes, I loved having my camera with me! But not as much as my wife Hehe

The right answer! This man will go far.

That is, indeed, a really good one. As has been said, the lines are tremendous.

In terms of Willie's edit, I'm not sure I'd go so far. Maybe a bit on the hut, but I'm not sure I would have changed anything anywhere else in the image. I like the more subtle, muted tones in the original.

Lol..Donald- amazing how differently things can be read.. maybe Tommy meant that he loved having his camera with him but his wife loved him having it with him even more than he did because she's a keen photographer too

Anyway.. looks like a great place to spend a honeymoon or even just a holiday, very attractive photo,Tommy and well composed too with that pool angle.

Well played John I left it intentionally ambiguous

Thank you both for the kind comments.

Perhaps I should post a pic of my wife and me as a tribute to how accommodating she was with me and my camera gear on our honeymoon!

I think it would be great to see a picture of your 'other' love!

Ha! You two would get on well with comments like that! It sounds exactly like something she would say!

What I tell her is that, without it, we wouldn't have such a great pictoral record of our life together And, having recently posted 60 odd honeymoon shots on Facebook, and having had such a wonderful response from everyone about them, I think I am probably right
