Octobox versus normal softbox

what kind of differences will you see in a softbox versus an octobox softbox? roughly around the same size. any info someone could provide or point me to would be great! thanks!

Depents where you are going to use it.

With portraiture I personal don't like the square reflections in the eye of a square softbox.
The octabox would be my choice at that point of view.

I don't know if there are other diffences between the sqaure and octa type.
