Can somebody tell me what light metering is and what it is used for? I was at a concert and I'm getting the lighting from the stage. Like the picture that is attached. Is that what light metering is used for?Picture 240.jpg

Hello and welcome to CiC.
You've maybe seen that most of us tend to use our real names on here. It makes communication more friendly and CiC is that sort of site. Did you know you can go to Edit Profile and enter your proper name under 'Real Name'. Then it will appear underneath your Username in all your posts.
For an understanding of metering, the best thing you could do is study the tutorial here on CiC. Click this link for it. It's fascinating subject.
