    Bambi in the pines

I was walking along the edge of the pines, and this little guy stood up out of his bed.

Not much time left , they are getting big fast.

Once again a crisp beauty. The foreground branch and overhanging pine give it a nice frame

Okay, I worked it out. In a previous post he told me he couldn't share his secrets. But now I know.

Each night he spends hours cutting out and painting these life-sized cardboard cutouts. And then, the next day, he locates them in a perfect spot, just right in the place where all the elements come together beautifully to make a superb image. Then he gets in a whole lot of lights to get the lighting just right.

It's got nothing to do with the immense skill involved in perfectly 'capturing the moment'. I know.

I think you're on to something, Donald. I can't see any other way because there's just way too many gorgeous, perfect shot after shot of them. There's just no other way....

And talking about cardboard cut outs. Does anybody remember that story of the children who 'accidentally' photographed faries in the background of some snaps taken with an old box brownie?

A long time ago, probably the 1930's; which was even before me. Before any of the Loch Ness Monster hoaxes.

The children carefully placed these cut out faries in the background and created a famous hoax and the truth wasn't revealled until they were middle aged.
