    Oooh!... Aaah!...

    Here are the first fireworks photo's that i have ever taken.Both have been cropped and have had a wb adjustment in raw.(if it needed any wb at all).The first had a minor saturation adjustment in CS3 and the second is as is with no other adjustments.C&C are very welcome.Thanks...Ron.

    And very successfully, I'd say.

    I appreciate you went to include the moon in the first one, but maybe the result is that you get left with a lot of empty space on the right hand side. In the second one, the firework explosion fills the frame and makes a big impact.

    Here's another of my fireworks photo's.No wb done this time in raw conversion.Boosted the saturations of the reds,magentas,and yellows(maybe a little to much on the yellows).The burst was cut off at the top so i cropped the other three edges to try and balance out the image.C&C are very welcome.Thanks...Ron.

    Hi Ron;

    Very nice captures of the way you say this event...

    Nice moon, I've never seen this "plus" before - so "at-a-boy" !!!

    From a "art" and not a technical point-of-view, empty space often works very well, I causes your eye to be drawn to the subject verse a "got-a-fill" all the space point of view. Check the old masters (and the new one too) less is more....

    Fireworks can be problematic, but you, good job, conquered them...

    (my credits: 25 years professional, that means "making your living (and sending kids to college), teaching at University and newspaper Feature Photographer", just let'in ya know, not brag-in

    Great - Job, If you would like a more productive a detailed suggestions, eh, just let me know, I've trained and more importantly "mentored" a handful of talented shooter each year. I can teach techniques, but I can't teach talent... you have talent. c-ya, paul
