First attempt at a rose
This is my first attempt at a rose, still get the hang of things, but i like it, any comments/critiques welcome

Josh, the first thing you need for a perfect photo is a perfect subject; and as Jaimes said your rose has a missing petal. Also the one next to it is diseased with spotting.
Getting that perfect bloom is one of the most difficult parts of the whole operation when shooting 'in the wild'. Sometimes a different camera angle can help.
But apart from that, your exposure and focus are very good.
