    I`m unsure if this shot works or not.I like the impressionistic look.What do others think?

    Nope. Does not do it for me. I take photos of ballroom and Latin dance quite regularly and whilst a sense of movement is needed I dont feel using this slow a shutter speed achieves that sense.

    David, this can work but it has to be carefully done. The blurring has to be a suggestion of movement rather than the movement being the blur. I am sure Martyn will not mind if I link to THIS. There is another one that comes to mind but I cant find it at present. I think it may work as an 'impressionist' sytle but the stationary figures spoil the effect. Also to get the impressionist feeel you would need to saturate the colours more.
