    Its Frog time

I decided to post this picture because I would like some feed back on it. It was just as the sun was going down and it scared the @^%$ out of me as just jumped and hit me in the leg

For me, Keith, there isn't sufficient difference between the frog and the background - but that is why the frog is there.

So I would crop tighter to lose some of the background. Possibly change to a portrait format (perhaps 4 x 5 ratio) then add a little selective sharpening on just the frog.

I think that would create a lot more impact. There is a good photo in that scene, it just needs discovering.

What kind of lighting was illuminating this frog? The purple stripes running down its back look a little odd to me. Honestly - I almost feel like he's lit by a neon sign or a bug zapper...

Thanks Geoff I'll try working on the pic a bit more.
ktuli, thats the actual colour of the frog. The only lighting I had was what was left of the sun.

    Keith,
Hope you don't mind, but this is how I crope/rotate the picture. Unfortunatelly, my PP skills are not my best points (Wonder if there are any ...)

    Hi Keith,

Just wondering what the colour of the frog actually was? Did it have those blue highligths to the naked eye, as shown here, or did it happen in camera?

That is crazy... it looks like a leopard frog, but I've never seen one with that kind of coloration. Do you see them often with that kind of color?
