Sometimes (most of the time, actually) selective colouring doesn't work for me. This is the exception.
And in analysing why, I reach the conclusion that you've started with a very good image in the first place. It's a strong composition. There's nice tone and texture. And the colours of the goat lend themselves to a blending with grey.
It's a really good one. Am impressive post so early in your life on CiC.

Yes, I agree with Donald. The colours of the log-ends serve a useful purpose here in the shot - to lead the eye more strongly to the goat. Unusual, and nicely done. Welcome to CiC
