First question is B&W or Color or both?

Second question is: I still don't think it is where it should be in either mode, but am at a loss as to what to do with it at this point...any ideas?

    Hi Chris,

Have you considered cropping to different proportions? i.e. wider and shorter?

I tried playing with this one but found it too hard and beyond my limitations. However what I did conclude from my pathetic efforts was that B and W was best and that cropping could help. My main big bear was the distraction of the fore ground grass. I also felt that the background and the reflections in the water were better darkened slightly. In all my attempts I became increasingly frustrated by not being able to sort out the problem of the grass. It was always too dark when I reckoned I had taped the rest. Just a few comments from one who doesn't really know. Sorry I could not offer some useful advice.

I fiddled with your image yesterday... don't know what you are looking for, but this is what I got.

Oh, I disagree...taking a cue from some others, I made some cropping and tonal changes which I think do well to augment this photo..
