    Flowers in my gardens

These are some of the spring flowers in my gardens. My daylilies will come next. I have finished planting my containers and have put in more annuals and perennials. I cannot wait for the seasons to play out. I will have flowers until frost.

    Cactus Flower Dahlia

    Live Wire grass

    Osteospermum "Lilac Spoon"

Hi Marie: Don't know how I missed these yesterday, but I think they are excellent. I especially like 1 & 2. 3 & 4 are great shots, but I'm not sure about the treatment. It all goes to personal taste though. Definitely points for creativity. I like the treatment on #3 it's very interesting, but on this particular shot it just looks confusing to me. I also like #4, however I think I would like it better if it was all in colour.

Thanks for sharing, hope to be able to watch your garden grow here at CiC.

Marie, #2 is fantastic. Nice sharp vibrant and well defined flower. Well done.

    Marie

Very good shots. #2 is very sharp and 'stand-out'. #1 looks a little yellow in the background on my monitor - how did you process it? I think #4 might look better as a square format of just the bottom flower. Nice work.

#2 looks a little yellow in my monitor as well...#3 is interesting, but I think it would be moreso if the insert was way sharpened and very crisp almost to the point of making your eyes wince. I've never been much of a fan of cross pollination, so #4 doesn't do much for me. Never did much for me when I tried it as well.

A tighter crop on #1 would really make it pop out! I likes its colors a lot.

Mary... or Lucy... either is fine with me. ;)

    Re: Flowers in my gardens

I like #3.... but would like it more without the layering treatment. You captured the raindrops and the grass looks so springtime fresth. And... the touch of pink. Very nice, Marie

Thank you for the feedback, everyone.

#1, the Spiderwort, I cannot do much about. LOL. This is the color of the foliage. I did very little pp to this one other than sharpening.

    #2 was my favorite.

Wendy and Mary, here is #3, Live Wire grass, without the transform layer.
    Flowers in my gardens

Rob and Chris, here is #4, Osteospermum, with changed aspect ratio and all in color.

All three are excellent! I love #1... the DOF, the crispness, the vibrancy and the grass reflecting in the water droplets. Love it.

My next fav would be #3. I don't usually go for images like that... but the water droplets and the vibrant green got me.

Lovely set, Marie. I prefer the Osteospermum all in colour. Love that pink and blue!

Thanks everyone, again for taking the time to reply. There is a fly hunkered down in the Osteospermum. LOL Did you'uns miss him, or just not comment worthy?

Hi, Marie! This is a lovely set! I've been trying to get back to you all day to try and tell you so and to comment. It's late, now, so I'll simply register that I really enjoyed them.
