    Two final shots from FL

    Two more bird shots from reserves on the east coast of florida;

    Tri-colored heron (I think):

    Two final shots from FL

    An anhinga drying off:

    Two final shots from FL

    There were a lot of little branches in front of the anhinga, but Lightroom's AI-powered removal tool removed them well, as long as I didn't try to do too much at a time.

    The removal tool did a credible job of removing the branches but in a couple of cases you probably would have done better manually. I am thinking about the one that crosses the bird's left foot and another one touching the left wing.

    Thanks. I agree. However, those could have been done by additional AI removals. There is another problem that can't be handled that way that I didn't notice at first. Note that where the twig in front of the left (viewer's right) foot stops artificially at the bird's body, it is continued as a line that is darker than the surrounding feathers. I didn't notice this at first, perhaps because it matches the tone of the dark ring around the bottom of the neck, which is real. I'll post the original below.

    You're welcome.

    The dark lines on the breast and also on the wing were the clues that gave the AI removal away along with the abrupt ends of the twigs in front of the bird.

    Not entirely. The abrupt ends are my fault, not the fault of AI. I did the removals bit by bit, just as I would have with manual removal, although with somewhat larger areas. I found it gave better results if I kept the selected areas small. The abrupt ends are because that's where I stopped. However, the dark line where the twig had been is a fault of the AI replacement.
