    What big eyes !

The daughter of another niece - do you call that a great niece ?

Partly backlit, I liked the way the light reflected from the white paper lights her face.

    What big eyes !

I think you call her pretty. I also agree with you that the lighting is exquisite.

In fact, the light in this portrait is absolutely stunning and the child is a little angel of natural beauty.
The intelligent use of the paper's light reflection resulted in an extraordinary and deeply beautiful portrait, full of life and tenderness.
It's one of those special portraits that she will treasure in her heart as a cherished memory of this unique phase of childhood.
    Good work !

Thanks Antonio, yes the light from the paper works rather well...however, I can only claim credit capturing the moment, not for planning it, this was pure good luck !

Luck in photography is curious—it only visits those prepared to receive it. Like an unexpected breeze, it transforms everything instantly.
But it's not pure chance. Being prepared, attentive, and available makes the difference. Luck helps, but only when we're ready: camera prepared, senses alert, heart open to the unexpected.

    Cheers !
