It does look a bit on the 'harsh' side, Brian.

But I find our UK versions are very difficult to photograph. Usually I get best results on an overcast day or by creating a little light shadow then shooting without flash and risking a longer exposure. Even then there are often some over exposed areas which need a bit of cloning work.

Some species are difficult under any conditions when it comes to photography.
