    Missed the shot

    So there I was at the bird sanctuary, shooting the ducks (first attached image), when a huge commotion erupted to my left. My son alerted me, and I swung around and snapped off a couple of pics, but had been shooting on manual, and the pics were hugely overexposed. I'd been using RAW, so managed to recover something, but I can't quite describe how gutted I was not to have captured this with a decent exposure.

    This is the sort of thing you just have to be philosophical about (or gnash your teeth, rip out your hair, tear your garments and thump your head on the ground; whichever suits the occasion)

    It is also why I shoot landscapes and inanimate objects.

    I like the concept of#1 very much. But the texture is a bit grainy or something.... Second one is very nice too
