Perhaps not the most imaginative title ever
Minnesota has been stuck under cool, cloudy, rainy skies for the last week or so. Trees and grasses are well on their way to green up. Today the sun came out; although a bit windy, it was a good day for a cruise and Sherburne was actually fairly busy. Warbler migration has been pretty one-sided with seemingly thousands of Yellow-Rumped Warblers passing by but no other species being seen by myself.
I hoped that I would have better luck at the refuge.....Nada! It is amazing to me that my home, eight miles south of the Mississippi River would be thick with small birds moving through and yet Sherburne, 20 miles North has little activity yet.
Other critters were about though:
Redwing Blackbirds were proclaiming their territorial rights
Met this couple along the way
This family was having a picnic, although Ma & Pa were a little concerned about the guy with the camera
