Early morning swim

1. The keelback snake is non-venomous and quite harmless. It spends its time in and mostly near water. The first three images are of the same individual. There was no colour change in the processing except for a little change in brightness and contrast and a very slight change in the white balance starting from the 'as shot' option in ACR. They are about one metre long.

All good captures, Tony. Interesting, how the pattern in #1 has a lot more contrast and character where it is not submerged. The variation adds interest, IMO. I think the composition of #1 is good, and catching the tongue while it was out is always going to make for a better shot.

I really like the mercury-like shine of the water in #2. Once again, a good composition.

Do you have a polarising filter? I can't help thinking how #1 would look if the water wasn't reflecting the sky. I like it as is, just wondering.

Thanks Chris. I don't have a polarising filter but it has been on my shopping list for a while. It would be interesting to try something like this with the filter.

Izzie, it is quite a good looking snake don't you think. You can tell it's friendly by the smile on its face.

Chauncey, think of the immediate benefits that Adam got though, even if the ultimate consequences were compromised.

Kris, #4 shows the real colour. The colours in the first three are largely due to the reflection of the sky off the water.

I think that It is easy to correlate these universal truths and their relevancy to just any success in life. That being said I am biased to aquatic sports and these things will absolutely help you learn to love the 0430 wake up. I aslo agree that That's a beautiful snake! Strange colouring.

Greg, thanks for your comment. I have thought of of cloning out the bit if concrete but I have also tried showing more of it to make it look as though it is meant to be there. Still not quite decided.

I guess one of the sins that was forced upon the Adam & Eve family was incest It is strange, with the in-breeding that must have occurred; that the human race doesn't have three crossed eyes and seven fingers on each of the three hands at the end of the several arms along with generic hemophilia. Or was there another gene pool that the Bible doesn't mention along with the lack of mentioning dinosaurs, etc...

I like #2 shot the best and I do like the reflection of clouds in the water. I would be tempted to crop or clone out the black object image left top...
