Evening stroll in a country park...

I went for a walk in a country park called Llyn Llech Owain earlier.

It was very difficult to get a decent shot because the land around the lake is mainly bog and surrounded by tall grass/reeds.

Here is one of the better ones I managed to capture:

Another lovely scene! I want to put a boat in the water and then just sit and stare.

Thanks Barbara! I did actually put one foot in the water, although not intentionally

Very nice, good balance of tones within the composition.

Matt, you have some beautiful scenery around where you live ... and you have captured this perfectly. I like the composition; with foreground flora and how it leads the eye around the left of the photo and then to "building." The reflection of the sunset is also good.

What is that white circular building? It has too many windows to be a castle!

... and just being picky ... it may have a touch too much "clarity" or "saturation" for my liking, but it certainly makes the photo "pop" wonderfully.

Thanks Martin, I think the white building is a visitor centre and probably a modern building designed to fit in with the scenery.

Thanks Jim, the flora in the foreground was a conscious decision.

It's sometimes difficult to balance colors verses composition...I choose colors. Nice job!

This is a gorgeous shot. If the powers that be were looking for a way to encourage more people to visit this park, I believe this image would be the one they would unhesitatingly use.
Just one thought; it may be me, or the way the shoreline is shadowed but the shoreline appears to be a bit down on the right.

A very atmospheric and calm scene, Matt. I need toaspire to something similar in my landscape photography.

Thanks Jack, I think you might be right about the shoreline, it needs a rotation to the left.

Thanks John, it was very peaceful to look out at but there was a gang of joggers nattering away somewhere in the woods behind me

Is the collective noun for a group of joggers a "gang"?

Well in this case maybe a "lynch mob" of joggers is more appropriate from the amount of noise they were making! Evening stroll in a country park...
