Giraffe's land

Hi Erwin , I'm uploading a crop option for you, if you don't like it please warn me, I will remove it. I left only the big white clouds in the image in order to make the sky less busy. I'm not sure about the pano version. The giraffes look small in the image, so I think they suit the landscape with clouds better. The composition is a bit difficult to decide indeed.





PS. I uploaded a wrong crop and I changed it later. The above is the one I meant.

I like Binnur's version with the clouds to the right. it is a beautiful scene, the giraffes are a bonus.( A big one)

thank you for taking your time to "evaluate" my second try and for your proposal - and thanks to Marc for commenting.
I do like your version and have still to decide which one pleases me best; I am also not so happy with the pano.
Cropping, twitching, even tearing my posted pictures is what I intend when I publish one in here - that is a good way to learn; when it comes to photos an example is worth a thousand words, or so someone said. Don't get me wrong: This is not saying that words are useless.

Ok Erwin here's my take on your re-work.

For me the image portrays the animals in their environment and I get the feeling most of those animals are looking into that scene and admiring it.

I do not like the cropped version because to me I feel the giraffes are cramped and the magnificence of their height is lost whereas the un-cropped sky helps accentuate it.

As for the PP much better, just a couple of problems on the horizon to rectify. It still retains that almost 3D effect that I can not explain between beast and surrounding.

Thank you Grahame for having a second look. As it was my intention while making the picture, to show the giraffes in (one of) their habitats and simultaneously this habitat as a wide space somehow dwarfing the up to 5m tall animals, I did include a great part of the sky.
As to post production: you took a very close look noticing the unclean transition at the horizon. I am still struggling with editing only parts of a picture, so your remark is very helpful to me: rush, rush does not work

Much improved post-processing! I prefer the uncropped version because the bright tones in the beautiful set of clouds need the space around them. Otherwise, that cloud system feels cramped to me.
