the light was well capture, but I find the composition a bit wanting. I would prefer to see a longer stalk which gives the white calla it's elegance.

I have always felt these single stalk flowers are like beautiful sophisticated women whom I would want to photograph them whole. All the empty space around them enhances their beauty. But then these are my personal feelings.

A legitimate question.

No I did not.There are plenty of these black spots on the flower. It is a natural phenomenon as the shot was not taken in a sterile but a natural environment. Most of those spots is dust accumulating on the flower in a dry winter month, some are imperfections in the flower.

You gave me an idea - maybe I should spray it and reshoot.
