    More Mating Insects.

Found a pair of Large Red Damselflies today. And of course, being in the real world, the background was terrible.

I might have some better shots still to sort out but this one had the best heart shape.

And a pair of Brimstone butterflies. The male was frantically fluttering over the female so I just couldn't get a suitable shot. But then he briefly landed.

And all on his own, a Tipula maxima cranefly. This is our biggest cranefly and is around the size of some smaller dragonflies.

Good series Geoff. Have made me want to go and get bugs again after that nasty incident from last year.

Perfect heart shape in #1, excellent capture.

The bugs seem busy in the UK at the moment Geoff, after a week of non stop rain here the only thing I found in the garden today was a fish.

Thanks for the positive comments. A dull day today so I helped some friends on a wildflower survey, although much of the time was spent sheltering from showers! And it looks a bit unsettled for the next few days as well.
