It's all really been said already and all I can add are my compliments on a superb set of images. I particularly admire the decisions you made on composition and aspect ratio on #3. Perfect. And, of course, that B & W! Magnificent.
They are all very nice and stunning images Mark. Thanks for sharing![]()
I might just try that... I have a bad case of "mountain-scape malaise!"
Yes, I noticed. I'm in love with the drama of the sky and the lighting/shades/detail seen on the rock structures. That said I haven't seen the image in colour so I don't truly know which I would prefer.
Mark,
Super images.
Timely posting - we begin our road trip of ca / az /ut / nm in a months time and these make for a nice appetiser.

Grateful for all of you to have looked in and added your kind remarks:
John – thanks, come on over!
Christina – my first serious B&W effort done (somewhat) after the methodology I picked up from Versace’s great From Oz to Kansas. I post the color, after LR/Viveza and just before Silver Efex for you. I think I got more out of the sky with the B&W. Your pick.
Donald – Thank you very much. Only I know how much these needed in post and it was too much.
Binnur – thank you.
And you too, Steve. Have a safe and rewarding trip. Beaucoup sunscreen, SPF rated cover, etc. friend.
I would be raving about the color image (and still do) if I hadn't seen the monochrome image. I'm astounded to learn that this monochrome is your first serious effort. Nobody would ever know.
The colours are absolutely gorgeous but I actually prefer the black and white version. Perhaps it is because of the sense of drama and story that the black and white image evokes in me - although I've never been to a place like this.
I'm off to purchase some aspirin...
