Very nice, David! I've never knowingly examined a firefly here in America during daylight but I'm really surprised your specimen is a firefly.

Hi Mike,thanks for commenting,not being Turkish i am only going with what two locals said it was,any bug men on here,i would gladly be proved wrong,and educated into the bargain!

Cheers Nandakumar,when i try to brighten it from afar it looks ok,but when you zoom in it blows out all the fine hairs

Yes, it is the background which appears a little on the dark side, not the main subject.
I suppose you could try to slightly brighten the midtones and selectively apply the effect. But I don't really have any problem with this image as it is now.

Thanks Geoff,the background was brighter and I made it darker
It's always the case what please's one won't please the other.

I've often wondered what a firefly really looks like David. I've only ever seen the Walt Disney version before.
The image is fine by me as well.
