    Catepillar and eggs

Please excuse the frame but i will be posting this in my blog and it will be needed there. I think this is technically reasonable? Is it interesting?

    Brian,

Is it interesting? Well that's very subjective and depends whether the viewer is looking at the picture with a primary interest of seeing the detail and colour of the caterpillar OR looking for an image to hang on a wall. The answers will vary tremendously.

Is it technically reasonable? Once again entirely subjective depending upon what the viewer considers reasonable.

To me 85% of the caterpillar is OOF of which the most important part the head is within that 85% so it is not reasonable.

Grahame, I have to agree with what you say. I have a good camera and my skill set is improving but I have a terrible time with caterpillars and focus. Even my usual technique of taking lots of shots doesn't work.

Brian, for bugs that does not stay still I anticipate it's movements. In that way, I get a better ratio of sharp images.

I suppose the easy answer is 'non existent'. My wife bought me a FinePix S4200 for my birthday. That be all I have. Pension being what it is that will be all i have for a while. But i do have fun.
