    3D Portrait…

My son Olivier, who was assisting me for the photograph in the thread named
"For quiet moments" and loved it, decide to challenge me at creating an
"off the wall" themeless, useless and, nevertheless, surprising photograph!

He was getting very excited when he thought he nailed me with that one. I
begged him: "…right, I'll take the challenge but you let me first get myself
    a whiskey!"

I am not a drinker in volume but in pleasure… just an excuse to mentally
sit back and think. And I started cooking this:

    As always, SOOC. C&C welcomed

Good choice of whiskey too. Much under rated as it has the e in it.

You've achieved part of the goal (off the wall and surprising), but I think there is some underlying meaning behind the items chosen. Nicely captured.

Wonderful detailed image, particularly capturing all of the pin imprint..... BTW have you tried a 'hot whiskey' which is popular over here! Take a good measure of 'Jemmy' and add boiling water, half a level teaspoon of sugar (or honey) and a slice of lemon studded with 3 or 4 cloves and sit back and enjoy.....

…but it seems like no one has noticed the very critical perspective in the shot!

A tip: this was taken with the 85 PC ƒ2,8.

You're right "dem", and the lens was taking care of the parallaxes.

The floating feather is an other trick of mine… the whiskey is taking care of that!

A very interesting composition / execution; including the lighting, material and of course camera angle. The bottle seems to be full; so the contents did not seem to be part of the inspirational process.

Once again, you have given me something to stop and ponder.

That is if you think I'm reasonable enough to have only one bottle at home
at any given time! …thanks for passing by and commenting.

You mean I have to drink whiskey so the feather will float better?

This secret "special effect" is good for the shot and for you! …in moderation that is
since feathers are, like me, light headed!

Well! nothing will float better for me then -- I am a teetotaler. A sip from my husband's beer actually do me for the year. I cook with wine though...almost every week... and I suppose that doesn't count....
