I think it is acceptable. The flower stands out really well against the leaves.
The leaves and particularly the flower structure suggest a Magnolia, but I could not say which one. There are a lot of species of Magnolia and many more cultivars.

A quick google search comes up with the Port Wine Magnolia. There are some images that look like yours. Think this may be what you have. Check out this website.

This is in S.E Texas in Liberty County (Rye). We have 2 of these trees, and way too many magnolias.
Unlike our magnolias, they only get flowers once a year - and this year they were at least 6 weeks earlier than usual.
Ans when the leaves drop, it's one holy mess!
They don't get any fruits...
That's really pretty. My vote is for some kind of magnolia, too. Can you post a "before" shot so we can see the wonders of LR4? I just ordered it recently and it should be here any day now.
