Both of my cameras have focus bracketing, and I've been experimenting more with this feature on my OM-1 II, working without a tripod. I don't use the camera's compositing; I load the stack into Zerene. For close-ups or macro, it's tough because the effectiveness of image stabilization drops as you get closer. However, I'm getting the hang of it. The image below I took handheld while hiking yesterday. It's 7 shots in total. I used the 12-40 mm f/2.8 lens (24-80 equivalent). I think it's technically acceptable, but comments welcome, of course.
